MAY 19, 2018
PIEDMONT PARK, ATLANTA
While The Salvation Army’s 4th annual Kettle Krush 5K run/walk and new 1-mile Fun Run is in a “different season” than Christmas, the purpose is for the “same reason.” Through this event, The Salvation Army and its women’s auxiliary are partnering to help raise awareness for and to “krush” poverty, homelessness, and sex trafficking in our area, and assist veterans.
What is better than beautiful springtime in Atlanta? Enjoying a fun 5K race/walk that winds through the City of Atlanta’s scenic Piedmont Park on roads without vehicle traffic! Runners and walkers will start and finish in the same location.
In addition, new for this year is a 1-mile fun run that is open to both runners and walkers.
Running strollers are welcome in both races, though we do ask that you start toward the back of the race. Dogs **are not** permitted on the course with runners or walkers.
May 17, 4-8 p.m. Big Peach Running Company, 800 Peachtree St., Suites B&C, Atlanta (Midtown between 5th and 6th streets), free parking available

Off street parking is also available on the surrounding streets.
The top male and female overall and top male and female masters (40+) winners in the 5K, and the top male and female finishers (ages 12 & under) in the 1-mile Fun Run will all receive special prizes. Each of these winners will receive an annual family membership (valued at $109) to the Atlanta Botanical Garden.
Top three male and female finishers in 12 age groups in the 5K will also receive medals. Top three male and female finishers in the 1-mile fun run also will receive medals. In addition, all finishers in the Fun Run will receive ribbons.
Prizes will also be awarded to the school and individual/company teams (those with 10 or more participants are eligible) with the most number of entrants. Learn more about team registration at www.active.com.
Stay after the race to celebrate your finish with fellow runners/walkers and enjoy the awards ceremony at 9:15 a.m. Post-race goodies and music will be provided.
