As part of NFL Green week, Trees Atlanta brought volunteers to The Salvation Army Bellwood Boys & Girls Club to plant trees…
Can you guess what this is? It’s the football field at The Salvation Army of Greater Atlanta’s Bellwood Boys and Girls Club. Next week, this space will be replaced with a professional turf football field, thanks to a generous gift from the Atlanta Falcons, the National Football League Grassroots Foundation, and the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation. Stay tuned for updates and our official field opening on Saturday, August 18.
During the week of June 25th thru June 29th, Love Atlanta’s week of service sponsored by Passion City Church members in Atlanta will volunteer with The Salvation Army of Metro Atlanta for more than 36 service projects. These projects include our Marietta Cobb/Douglas Corps, Peachcrest Boys and Girls Club and the Red Shield.

Youths at The Salvation Army’s Bellwood Boys and Girls Clubs are getting a new synthetic turf football field, thanks to the generosity of the NFL Foundation and the Atlanta Falcons. But it’s not just a football field—it’s a safe, welcoming place for kids to play and feel part of something bigger. We’re immensely grateful for this wonderful gift.
