Salvation Army Canteens serving meals during COVIID-19 pandemic

A Message from The Salvation Army Metro Atlanta Area Commanders

These are unprecedented times. Yet while much about our daily lives has changed and the future is unpredictable, one thing is certain: The Salvation Army of Metro Atlanta is unwavering in our commitment and mission to provide help, relief, and support to the most vulnerable in our communities.

Now, more than any time in recent history, we need your support.

In response to the COVID19 pandemic, The Salvation Army of Metro Atlanta has modified our service delivery to immediately meet the needs of the most vulnerable in our communities. We are providing food and shelter to the most vulnerable in our city. This includes drive-through pick-ups at several of our Corps Community Centers and community-based food delivery through our mobile kitchens, or canteens. In addition, our two sheltering facilities – Red Shield Services and the Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) in Atlanta – continue to provide shelter and refuge for 450 individuals and families.

As companies shut their doors and employees struggle to figure out how to pay their bills, we expect that the number of Atlantans seeking assistance with their rental, utilities, medical prescriptions, and other needs will increase. Our ability to meet the existing and evolving needs of the most vulnerable families and individuals in our city will depend on your financial support.

Please help us. Click here to make a life-changing donation today, or send it by mail to The Salvation Army Metro Atlanta Area Command, P.O. Box 930188, Norcross, GA 30003.

Please reach out to your Salvation Army of Metro Atlanta contact with any questions or concerns.

Thank you, and may God continue to keep you and bless you during this unprecedented time in our city’s and nation’s history.

God bless you.
