ABOUT US

While The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary’s 6th annual Kettle Krush 5K run/walk is in a “different season” than Christmas, the purpose is for the “same reason.” Through this event, SAWA strives to raise awareness for The Salvation Army and to “krush” poverty, homelessness, and sex trafficking in our area, and support veterans and youth enrichment. Due to current COVID-19 situation, The Salvation Army needs support for its initiatives even more than ever! Since we are all practicing social distancing currently as requested, this year’s event called Race in Place will now be broadcast on Facebook Live on May 16.

New for 2020! Kettle Krush 5K Race in Place EVENT

Race Date: May 16, 2020

Location: Your choice! Tune in to https://www.facebook.com/KKAtlanta5k from the comfort of your own home at your computer for Kettle Krush FB Live broadcast or wherever you choose to listen/watch.

Broadcast Time: 9 – 10 a.m.

Awards Event Details

This Race in Place event is open to ANYONE who wants to support the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary’s annual Kettle Krush 5K and The Salvation Army! SAWA will hold a drawing for all individual prizes. Team prizes will also be awarded. (See details under AWARDS.) No running or walking is required to enter! Anyone can win top prizes in this drawing! We would love to have you use #KettleKrushRaceinPlace by 5/15 to show us the creative ways you are racing in place before our FB Live broadcast.

Awards

Drawing for awards for first overall M/F and Masters M/F runners and top three runners in 16 age brackets from 10 & under to 80 & over.

Team prizes

Special prizes will be awarded to top 2 teams with most participants (minimum of 10 participants to be eligible). Must be registered by 5/13. Learn more about team registration at.

Team registration

Got a group of friends, family members, work peers, or schoolmates who would enjoy supporting a good cause? The top 2 teams with the most runners registered will receive special prizes! (a minimum 10 or more runners to be eligible for prizes) It’s easy to enter as a team – just get a captain to enter first and share the team name and then other team members can sign up individually.
