Majors Pierre and Louna Smith
Senior Kroc Officer & Officer for Congregational Life

Major Pierre Smith, together with his wife Major Louna Smith, has over 20 years of service as officers with The Salvation Army in the Florida Division. They have served five years Miami, six in Winter Haven, three in Naples and six Palm Beach County

Major Pierre Smith’s education includes the College for Officer Training (CFOT) Atlanta, Georgia, the International College for Officer Training (ICO) London, England, plus a BA from Nazarene Bible College Colorado Springs, Colorado, and a MA from Point Loma University San Diego, California.  Major Smith originally trained as an electrician.

Major Louna Smith’s education includes the College for Officer Training (CFOT) Atlanta, Georgia, plus an AA in Business Administration Polk County State College, a BA in Christian Education from Nazarene Bible College Colorado Springs, Colorado. Major Louna Smith was trained as a nurse.

The Smiths are the parents of two young adults: Jovanie and Lousson Smith.  Both of them are currently working for The Salvation Army. Jovanie works as a Territorial Young Adult Mission Deployment Coordinator and Lousson as an Assistant Divisional Music Director.

Major Pierre Smith many interests include reading and music and Major Louna enjoys events planning and quite time.

Captain Emmuanella Prudent
Officer of Program Development

Captain Prudent comes to us from the Georgia Division through the Lawrenceville Corps, with her children, Elijah and Deenah, who are both Junior Soldiers. She lived in Haiti and Guadeloupe (French West Indies) until her family relocated to Boston, Massachusetts. She attended Gordon College and transferred to the University of Massachusetts Boston, and graduated with a bachelor in English Literature. She has worked for both for-profit and non-profit organizations as secretary, office manager, bookkeeper, and case manager.

Lieutenant Prudent relocated to Lawrenceville in 2009. Along with her children, she affiliated with The Salvation Army through the music and arts Conservatory program. She was enrolled as a Soldier on Easter 2010 by Captains Anne and Bobby Westmoreland. In August 2012, she entered the Evangeline Booth College for Officer Training in Atlanta, Georgia.

Her favorite phrase is “God is in it!” Lieutenant Prudent is ready to take part in God’s work at the Atlanta Kroc.
